Head control, tummy time progression, and parent handling. 

- Head control is the first area where babies work on their core and neck muscles needed for all future skills and visual tracking. 

- Tummy time progressions starting with proper position to pivoting on hands leads to faster tolerance and enjoyment on their stomachs and is the base core strengthening needed for all movements moving forward and works on visual spatial awareness. Strength and endurance in a horizontal position is much different than in an upright position. 

- Guidance on holding positions that promote strengthening or soothing are always helpful for new and seasoned parents. ​

Littles

Starting to move! 

Rolling and sitting activities. 

- Learn and practice the best way help your child roll safely creating the ideal sequencing of muscles and movement patterns. Optimal hand positioning and assist will promote muscles to start utilizing their bodies in a rotational pattern needed for future more complex skills such as walking, throwing, and kicking.

-  Understanding safe positions to begin and progress sitting works on postural stabilization in an upright position which is vital. Once sitting on their own, focusing on reaching and weight shifting outside their center of mass will assist in faster achievement of the next skills and focus more on balance and control. 

Munchkins​

Transitions to and from sitting and crawling.

- Getting in and out of sitting is the next skill before crawling. These movements are difficult and inability to perform them often leads to frustration in little ones and in turn wanting to be picked up more often. Mastering these skills and their complicated movement patterns is key in achievement of future skills that require weight shifting and coordination of the hands/arms.

- Crawling is a movement pattern that requires intricate changes in weight shifting and coordination of extremities: left to right and arms to legs while stabilizing the core. Learn the best way to help your child become mobile!​

Tykes

Pulling to stand and pre-walking skills. 

- The way a child approaches a support surface and the height, material, and ability to grab on can make coming to stand challenging. Learn to encourage and assist them to safely navigate and balance themselves in a more upright position.

- Learn to identify poor posture in standing, how to correct, and when positions are expected to improve.
